We initially set off on our big adventure with a 2003 Jayco  Hardtop Expander 16' Van. We had the Expander for approx 12 months and it was OK for the odd weekend away. This van turned out to be too small for permanent living, and too awkward pulling the beds out of the ends. After selling the house we drove down to Karens parents place at Wingham in NSW. On the way back up to Brookes(our daughter) place at Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, we drove through Coffs Harbour and called in at Watsons Caravans. After trading in the Expander we took delivery of our new home. It is a 2006 Jayco Sterling 23'6" van with everything needed for permanent living and long distance travel. We paid $45,000 this van and received $18000 trade on our old van, very happy with the deal.

Lets get started

We sold our house in Maryborough in January this year. For many years my wife Karen-Anne, and I have been planning to travel.
